Privacy Policy

Effective from 29 September 2026. This is a translation; in case of any discrepancy the Czech version prevails.

1. Controller

The controller of personal data within the meaning of Art. 4(7) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) is:

2. Purposes and legal basis

  • Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) – handling bookings, providing accommodation and other services, communication with guests.
  • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) – guest register, reporting foreign guests to the Foreign Police, local accommodation tax, accounting and tax.
  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) – website security, fraud prevention, enforcement of claims.
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) – analytics and marketing cookies and any marketing messages. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.

3. Data we process

  • identification data: name, date of birth, ID document number, nationality and home address (to the extent required by law for the guest register),
  • contact data: e-mail, phone,
  • booking and payment data: dates, room type, price, payment method,
  • technical data: IP address, browser type, cookie data (with consent).

We do not process special categories of personal data under Art. 9 GDPR.

4. Retention

  • booking and contract data: for the duration of the contract and 3 years after it ends,
  • guest register: 6 years from the last entry, as required by Czech law,
  • accounting records: 10 years,
  • data processed on the basis of consent: until consent is withdrawn.

5. Recipients and processors

We do not sell personal data. It may be processed, only to the extent necessary, by:

  • the online booking system provider (better-hotel) and payment gateway,
  • web hosting and e-mail, accounting and IT service providers,
  • Google (Google Tag Manager / Analytics) – only with cookie consent,
  • public authorities where required by law (e.g. Foreign Police, the Town of Poděbrady, the tax office).

We do not transfer data outside the EU/EEA, except for Google services, which are covered by standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

6. Your rights

  • right of access (Art. 15 GDPR),
  • right to rectification (Art. 16),
  • right to erasure (Art. 17),
  • right to restriction of processing (Art. 18),
  • right to data portability (Art. 20),
  • right to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21),
  • right to withdraw consent at any time.

You can exercise your rights by e-mail at rezervace@homerpodebrady.cz or in writing at the controller’s registered office. You may also lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection, Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7, uoou.gov.cz.

7. Cookies

homerpodebrady.cz uses cookies. Necessary cookies make the website work and do not require consent. Analytics and marketing cookies are used only with your consent given in the cookie banner; you can change your choice at any time in the cookie settings or in your browser.

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data (HTTPS encryption, access control, regular backups). We will notify you of any breach that could put your rights at risk in accordance with Art. 34 GDPR.

9. Changes

We may update this policy; the current version is always on this page. Effective from 29 September 2026.
